When sport and business joined forces. On Saturday 21 September 2024 the Plechárna cultural centre in Prague’s Černý Most hosted another Gamechangers meetup, part of the 18th Stop Zevling festival.
The event brought together personalities from sport and business, with inspiring stories and room for discussion and networking. As a long-time participant and now main partner, JANDASPORT ® helped the organisers create a platform for people who change the rules of the game – on the field and in business.
Inspiring speakers
The event was opened by Vít Janda, co-founder of JANDASPORT ® and several other companies. He spoke openly about his path through sport, academia and business, and explained how JANDASPORT ® helps athletes by handling their marketing, sponsorship, accounting and more, so they can focus fully on their sport.
The biggest draw was Jiří Beran, fresh bronze medallist in fencing at the Paris 2024 Olympics, civil engineer and owner of the family fencing equipment shop 5MFENCING. He described his thrilling Olympic experience and what sport means to him beyond the arena – the values he stands for and how he handles everyday challenges. Meeting him and taking photos was one of the highlights.
Next up was Robert Mazouch, President of the Czech Wrestling Federation and newly appointed COO of the Czech company eD group. He talked about his long career in finance at Erste Group, his sporting past and his work leading the federation. He shocked the audience with statistics on how young people’s physical fitness has changed over the past 30 years, and presented Victory Kids, a project bringing more children to sport and wrestling through after-school clubs at almost 100 schools.
Petr Kovařík, co-founder since 2011 of Steiner & Kovařík, a premium brand of luxury chocolates and dragées, surprised the audience with facts about chocolate. He would definitely recommend it to athletes over energy drinks – quality chocolate, of course, not the cheap supermarket kind. Guests could taste the company’s chocolate on the spot.
The final speaker was Radim Navrátil, a cybersecurity specialist, head of IT security at Next Generation Security Solutions and presales security consultant at TOTAL SERVICE.
But it wasn’t just talks. Guests could ask questions and debate with the speakers, creating an atmosphere full of mutual inspiration and shared experience. Stories of success and failure, and of what sport gives and takes, offered fresh perspectives to anyone who wants to succeed not just on the field but in life.

The next Gamechangers meetup took place on 15 October 2024 at Černá labuť in Prague, with guests Jana Havrdová (Vice-President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce), David Navrátil (Chief Economist of Česká spořitelna) and parkour athlete Jaroslav Chum.
