On 12 October 2025 the Czech Wrestling Federation celebrated 130 years of Czech wrestling with a gala evening at Prague’s Hotel Duo. The night launched the Czech Wrestling Hall of Fame and honoured the best wrestlers and coaches of 2024. We took care of the technical set-up, video and photos, the Hall of Fame videos, graphics, press relations and guest interviews.

A gala celebrating history and the present
The evening launched the new Czech Wrestling Hall of Fame. Its first members were Olympic and world medallists – including Vítězslav Mácha, the only Czech Olympic wrestling champion, whose award was accepted by his son Vítězslav Mácha Jr. – and other personalities who shaped the history of Czech and Czechoslovak wrestling.
The best wrestlers of 2024 were also honoured – Adéla Hanzlíčková, Marcel Albini and Artur Sarkisjan – along with the personal coaches of the year Jan Žižka, Tomáš Tobola and Zdeněk Švec. Guests included UWW Europe President Karl-Martin Dittmann, Czech Olympic Committee President Jiří Kejval, Czech Sports Union President Jan Boháč and then-chairman of the National Sports Agency Ondřej Šebek. The evening was hosted by Barbora Černošková.

Aftermovie
Hall of Fame videos
We made a short video for each Hall of Fame inductee. We researched their careers, built videos from archive photos, wrote the script and arranged a voiceover by Czech Television sports commentator Petr Vichnar. The videos were screened during the ceremony, adding emotion and historical context to the evening.
Interviews with guests and award winners
During the evening we filmed a series of short interviews at the photo wall. The federation then released them gradually on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok, keeping the anniversary in its communication for weeks after the event.

Part of a long-term partnership
The 130th anniversary built on our long-term partnership with the Czech Wrestling Federation on the road to the LA 2028 Olympics – from social media management to media coverage of the European Championships and finding partners. We explain how to plan communication before, during and after a big event in our guide to social media for federations and clubs.
