Trénujeme s respektem: communication for an initiative for safe sport

3 min read Vít Janda Trénujeme s respektem

Trénujeme s respektem (“We Train with Respect”) is a non-profit initiative working for a safe, fair and respectful environment for children in sport. We’ve worked together since spring 2025 – starting with photo and video at the Generation Fair Play conference and one-off video edits. Since March 2026 we’ve officially run all of its social media, plus ad videos, athlete content and partner collaborations.

Ad videos for the Introduction to Safeguarding e-learning

Trénujeme s respektem offers the online course Introduction to Safeguarding – the only Czech course on protecting children in sport, inspired by the International Olympic Committee’s programme and recommended by the Czech Sports Union and the Association of Sport Psychologists. It’s aimed at coaches, parents and clubs and sold through paid Facebook and Instagram ads.

We filmed the initiative’s ambassadors and personalities where sport actually happens – at a football stadium, in a floorball hall and at an outdoor workout park. Each video was made with several openings (hooks), so the ads can test what best stops the scroll and brings people to the course. Altogether that’s dozens of video versions for the campaign.

One video, four openings: Magdalena Fialová

Here are four versions of the same video with Magdalena Fialová, BSc., a certified safeguarding officer – only the first seconds differ. They run against each other in the ads, and the budget goes to the best performer.

Behind the scenes

Athletes who back the cause

Well-known athletes support the idea of safe sport too. With ambassadors Lucie Šafářová and Kuba Hroneš we filmed interviews in their own environment – with Lucie on the tennis courts, with Kuba at a skatepark. The shoots produced a series of videos, photos and material for further communication.

Lucie Šafářová

The former world doubles number one and Grand Slam champion talks about what children in sport need from their parents – motivation without pressure, losing, fear coming from the stands, and trust between parents and coaches.

Kuba Hroneš

The freestyle snowboarder and the initiative’s new ambassador reminds us that respect belongs in every sport – for the coach, the opponent, teammates and yourself. In the videos he talks about his path to snowboarding, pressure and his sporting role models.

Social media management

Since March 2026 we’ve run Trénujeme s respektem’s Instagram and Facebook end to end: planning content, designing graphics and carousels, shooting and editing videos, posting stories and replying to comments. Educational carousels turn expert topics – bullying, children’s health, talking to coaches or choosing a club – into clear, shareable posts.

Partner collaborations

We help arrange partnerships with clubs and partners and create graphics and videos published as collabs on both sides’ profiles. The initiative reaches the clubs’ fans, and partners show they take a safe environment seriously – coaches at Slavia Prague and Gymnathlon, for example, are taking the Trénujeme s respektem e-learning course. We sum up how to work with collabs, faces and other formats in our guide to social media for federations and clubs.

The Generation Fair Play conference

The partnership began in spring 2025 with the Generation Fair Play – Sport of the Future conference in the Czech Chamber of Deputies. We delivered photos, a video recording, a recap video and a series of interviews with athletes and personalities such as Jiří Beran, Roman Kreuziger and Simona Rushton.
